LogiColour uses macOS Screen Recording permission only while you are using its eyedropper. During an active pick, Apple's ScreenCaptureKit supplies live pixel frames for the display containing the pointer. LogiColour reads only the small region around the pointer and processes it locally on your Mac to show an 81 x 81 pixel magnified preview and calculate the colour of the selected 1 x 1, 3 x 3, or 5 x 5 pixel sample.

LogiColour does not record audio, save screenshots or video, upload screen content or derived colour data to LogicLeap or any server, use it for analytics, advertising, tracking, or AI, or share it with any third party.

Screen frames and the magnified preview are held only temporarily in the app's memory and are discarded when the eyedropper closes. When you pick a colour, the resulting colour value and selection date may be stored locally on your Mac as recent-colour history, up to 60 entries, and the requested colour string is placed on the macOS clipboard so you can paste it. This local history remains until you remove an entry, clear the history, or delete the app's local data. No screenshot, video, window title, application name, document content, or audio is retained.

Screen Recording access is controlled by macOS in System Settings > Privacy & Security > Screen Recording and can be revoked at any time. Without it, the eyedropper cannot read colours from other apps, but LogiColour's manual colour tools remain available.
