Palé Hall is a five-star country house hotel set in 50 acres of the Dee Valley in North Wales. 18 individually designed luxury bedrooms, a Michelin-recommended restaurant sourcing from its own kitchen garden, and a reputation as one of the finest small hotels in Britain. The digital experience needed to carry the same weight as the physical one.
The Challenge
The problems ran deeper than an outdated website. There was no direct booking capability, meaning the hotel was haemorrhaging commission to OTAs. Staff were manually transferring guest data between their RezControl property management system and EposNow point-of-sale — wasting hours every week and introducing errors. The site was English-only despite being a proudly Welsh hotel. And a growing collection of original artwork had no sales channel beyond guests physically visiting the gallery. Every one of these was a revenue leak or an operational drag.
What We Built
We designed and built the entire digital ecosystem. A bilingual website in English and Welsh with direct booking integration to eliminate OTA dependency. A custom API bridge connecting RezControl and EposNow, syncing guest and reservation data automatically and killing the manual entry problem completely.
A full e-commerce gallery allowing artwork to be browsed, purchased, and shipped to buyers who’d never set foot in the hotel. A separate site for their sister property, Bryntirion.
And an ongoing IT support relationship covering everything from infrastructure to day-to-day technical issues across the estate.
Results
Page load times under one second. Fully bilingual content serving both English and Welsh-speaking audiences. Zero manual data entry between PMS and EPOS systems, reclaiming hours of staff time every week. A brand new revenue stream through online gallery sales that didn’t exist before. And a digital foundation robust enough to support the hotel’s continued growth.
